Chaa Da Cupp - Please!

Chaa Da Cup - Please! is a food blog created for all food lovers

(n.b - mostly chai loving lovers).

The various mixtures of ingredients and recipes compliment a hearty Chaa Da Cup! - you'll probably be looking (asking) for one ;)

This is my version of home cooked Punjabi-Kenyan heartiness.

No.2 - Mutton Keema Grilled Cheese Sandwich

A left over special!

4 different ingredients - 15 min to prepare - Serves 1 person

Ingredients:

1 bowl - cooked mutton keema (cooked minced mutton).

1 bowl - grated cheddar cheese.

2 - 4 slices - brioche/white/brown/50-50 bread.

1 tablespoon - butter.

Method using a Tava (Griddle) or Sanwich Maker:

Butter the outsides of 2 slices of bread and place one slice, buttered side down, on a warm tava (griddle) or in a sandwich maker.

Lay a thin layer of grated cheddar cheese over the top-plain side of the bread, cover the cheese with 3-5 tablespoons full of hot/warm cooked mutton keema. Add another thin layer of grated cheese on top of the mutton keema. Cover the stuffing with the second slice of bread, plain side down and buttered side up.

Using a Tava (Griddle) -

Using a spatula flip the sandwich over making sure none of the filling falls out, press the cooked side down onto the tava (griddle). Allow the uncooked side to capture heat, letting the butter melt into the bread.

Using a Sandwich Maker -

Close the sandwich maker tight enough for the bread to take shape and seal. Allow both sides of the bread to toast letting the butter seep into the slices.

Once golden brown, take the sandwich off the tava (griddle)/ out of the sandwich maker and serve them with a hot Chaa Da Cup - Please!

Let us know below in the the comments how your sandwiches turn out! For our veggie/vegan friends you can use cooked minced paneer (cottage cheese)/ soya.
