1/4 tsp - haldi (turmeric powder).

In a large bowl add 1 bowl of besan (gram flour), 1 large carrot and onion, 1/4 of a large white cabbage and 1 bowl of peas grated. Add the paste of 2 large cloves of garlic, 1 medium stem of ginger and 2-3 large green chillies, and 1 tsp (flat) of salt, 1tsp (flat) of jeera (cumin seeds) and 1/4 tsp of haldi (turmeric powder).

Using a ladle six all the ingredients well together in the bowl.

In a pan with hot oil, using a large table spoon, take a dollop of the mixture from the bowl and drop into the oil allowing the oil to cook the dollop into a pakora/fritter. Once the pakore turn golden brown and crispy, take them out and place them on a paper towel allowing the oil to soak off.

Finally, serve your pakore with some homemade chutney and steaming hot Chaa Da Cup - Please!
